HC withdraws cease work

Bar Library Club of the Calcutta High Court Friday decided to withdraw cease work from Monday after getting proposal from the state government through the Advocate General. The Bar Library Club began cease work from Friday protesting the government’s decision for raising the value of property in which the City Civil Court would hear cases from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 1crore. At present the City Civil Court has the jurisdiction upto Rs 10 lakh.
