When asked about his motivation behind running the marathon, Aamir confessed, “To be honest, I never even thought about it. My daughter Ira forced me here. She is the one who inspired everyone.” The actor, who recently turned 60, also shared his fitness mantra. “You are what you eat. A proper diet is most important, then eight hours of good sleep, and finally, a workout. If diet and sleep are not right, the gym alone won’t help,” he mentioned.

During the media interaction, Aamir Khan also acknowledged Mumbai’s AQI problems. When asked about pollution, he answered, “Haan abhi kya kare? I know.” His former wife Kiran Rao added, “We all need to raise our voices, understand the causes, and do our bit as citizens to change the AQI in our city.”

Actor Rahul Bose took to his Instagram handle and shared a video of himself during the marathon. He also posted a smiling selfie with Aamir from the event and wrote, “Wonderful to see Aamir at the start line. He was running for his @paanifoundation.” Several other celebs ran the marathon, including, Dino Morea, Vishal Bhardwaj, and Nikita Dutta.

Along the marathon route, members of the Khan family took on different distances, Aamir, Kiran, Ira and Azad completed the 5.9 km dream run, Junaid ran the 10 km race, while Ira’s husband, fitness trainer Nupur Shikhare, impressed everyone by tackling the full 42 km marathon. The route passed several city landmarks, including CSMT, Marine Drive, the Bandra-Worli Sea Link and Haji Ali.
