Didi will send GoM to Delhi when she gets well: Partha

The composition of the group and the time for its departure will be decided by the chief minister when she resumes office later this week, minister for commerce and industries Partha Chatterjee said on Tuesday.

A group of ministers of the state government is going to Delhi soon and take up the matter of the attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and state Finance Minister Amit Mitra in Delhi last week, with the central government. The composition of the group and the time for its departure will be decided by the chief minister when she resumes office later this week, minister for commerce and industries Partha Chatterjee said on Tuesday.

“In the incident of Delhi,we filed an FIR but no arrest has been made so far. But compare this with the incident of vandalisation at Presidency University where we made several arrests. In fact, the incident of Delhi is being trivialised while the incident of Presidency is being glorified. The Trinamool Congress does not have any organisation there, still they are being blamed for the trouble that broke out there,” Chatterjee said.

He also said that another three-member group comprising Chatterjee himself,Minister for Environment Sudarshan Ghosh Dastidar and Tamluk MP Shubhendu Adhikary is again going to Delhi to plead for issues like formation of a uniform iron-ore policy, extension of STPI (Software Technology Park of India – a policy that enables companies to have facilities like tax exemption) and lifting of embargo on setting up new industries in Haldia.
