A Maoist cadre surrendered before the police in Purulia on Sunday. Rabi Mandi,a Maoist cadre of the organisations Ayodhya squad,surrendered after being attracted by chief ministers package of rehabilitation, said Superintendent of Police Sunil Kumar Choudhury in a press conference.

A resident of Bhagnidi village in Balarampur block near Ayodhya hills,Mandi joined the banned CPI(Maoist) in 2005 for poverty,police said.

Earlier,Durjyodhan Rajwar and Lalita Sahis of Balarampur surrendered before Choudhury and Jagari Baske and Rajaram Baske surrendered before Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at the state secretariat of Writers Buildings.
