More than a dozen workers of a factory near Hero Honda Chowk were injured in a police lathicharge outside the factory premises on Tuesday night while they were protesting against the management.
The policemen also manhandled a journalist from a TV news channel and snatched his camera,according to reports.
The workers of Sunbeam factory were protesting over the reported dismissal of some employees recently.
According to reports,the clash ensured late last night when the protesting workers stopped some drivers from taking their vehicles out of the factory. After the policemen deployed at the site intervened,a clash ensued,witnesses said.
According to journalists covering the incident,the policemen did not accept a TV reporters identity card,recently issued by the Gurgaon Police Commissioners office,and stopped him from getting close to the scene. He was reportedly manhandled thereafter.
