A Delhi Police Sub-Inspector (S-I) was arrested on charges of allegedly molesting a subordinate on Sunday.
According to the police,the incident reportedly occurred on Sunday inside a building in West Delhi which houses the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Sharad Aggarwal as well as the Rajouri Garden police station. The police station is on the ground floor,the DCPs office on the first floor,while one of the police departments is on the second floor where the incident took place.
The woman Assistant Sub-Inspector had come to the office on Sunday for work. The accused,S-I Mukesh Chabra,allegedly asked her to come out of the office,then took out his mobile phone and tried to show her some obscene MMS clips. When she objected,he allegedly molested her, officials said.
The woman freed herself and rushed downstairs,where she submitted a written complaint with the Rajouri Garden police station,the police said. A case was registered under Sections 354 (outraging the modesty of woman) and 509 (acts intended to intrude into the privacy of a woman). Chabra was arrested after a probe,the official said.
