After opening in London three years ago, “Gibson Through The Lens”, a photo exhibition that traces the history of the iconic guitar brand, will debut in India.

As part of Gibson’s 120th anniversary celebrations this year, Indian audiences are in for a visual treat through personal and candid photographs of the music world’s greatest rock heroes such as Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, Frank Zappa, Eric Clapton, Bob Marley and Johnny Cash, among others. To be held at Vivanta by Taj in Mumbai this week, the exhibition will also travel to Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore and Gurgaon till December.

Curated by music photography archivist Dave Brolan, the exhibition will showcase works of 30 of music world’s most respected photographers, including Baron Wolman, Neal Preston, Mick Rock, Ross Halfin and late Jim Marshall, who was also the chief photographer at the famous Woodstock Festival.
