Anjali Jhangiani KP Irrfan and Arjun Rampal have been undergoing rigorous training for their upcoming D-Day under Tom Struthers,the stunt director of Hollywood hits such as Inception,X-Men First Class and Terminator 3 among others. In the film,Huma Qureshi,Shruti Hassan and Rampal essay the roles of RAW agents who are sent to Pakistan to bring a criminal back to India. Two months before we started shooting,Tom visited us and taught us the knack of immobilising or blocking our opponent,and to think like a RAW agent, said Rampal. Irrfan who plays the role of an undercover agent in the film,said,I always wanted to play the role of a secret agent. When Nikhil read the script to me,he made me an offer I could not refuse. While training for the action sequences,we realised how much sweat and blood goes into becoming an agent and undertaking missions for our country. Our respect for them has reached new levels, he said. Talking about Bollywood movies becoming more and more investigative in its scripts,Irrfan said only films with high entertainment value catch his attention. The training for his role in the film also gave Irrfan a fresh perspective to acting out action sequences. Tom brought in technology as well as new techniques to the film. The only way he would work with us was if we showed him sincerity and dedication. He gave us parts to practise,which we had to do perfectly before he came on the set, said Irrfan.
