In a chilling tale,43-year-old filmmaker Ravi Iyer,creates an ideal scary setting out of a claustrophobic radio station in Mazaak Mat Karo,a short film. Be prepared to overcome your childhood fears of dark rooms,haunted manors and dead bodies as Mazaak Mat Karo,along with a host of other horror films will be screened in the Capital on Saturday.
The festival with an unusual theme has been curated by Shamiana,a Mumbai-based organistaion known for screening short films,Fear has a new address Delhi,” says Cyrus Dastur of Shamiana with a laugh,Weve already travelled to Pune and Baroda,now it’s time to scare the living daylights out of Delhites, he adds. The organisers believe that horror genre needs to be popularised in India and has plans to make the festival a regular event. We picked out the five famous horror films from around the world,with Mazaak Mat Karo being the only Indian entry, says Dastur. An Evening With My Comatose Mother and Divination (USA),Chambers (Norway) and Love Hurts (Netherlands) are the other films in the line-up.
The movies will be screened at Alliance Française on June 30 at 6pm
