Raghubir Singh cricket tourney
The 35th edition of the annual Lala Raghubir Singh Hot Weather Cricket Tournament will be held from June 1-13 at the Modern School (Barakhamba Road) grounds. The tournament,one of the more prestigious events of the Delhi state domestic cricket calendar,will be played on a league-cum-knockout basis of 80-over matches. Twelve of the top teams from the capital will fight it out for a winners prize of Rs 2,00,000,up from Rs 1,50,000 last year. The runners-up will receive Rs 1,00,000 while the losing semi-finalists will get Rs 51,000 each. The final of the competition will be telecast live on DD Sports.
Participating teams: Collage Group,Rajnigandha Cricket Club,Air India,Gush Cricket Club,Rajasthan Cricket Association,ONGC,Mallik SPorts,Rohtak Road Gymkhana,Hargopal Cricket Club,Himachal CA,FCI,Vidya Jain Cricket Club.
Three Delhi boys make the cut
Wrapping up a four-month long search,the fourth season of the Arsenal Tata Tea Jaago Re Soccer Stars ended in a grand finale with 16 kids making the final cut out of the shortlisted 30 players identified to be trained by Arsenal coaches. The 16 will now represent India at the 21st Arsenal International Soccer Festival this year,with three Delhi boys impressing the coaches. Lalruat Puia,Nim Dorjee Tamang and Abhiraj Vikram Singh will travel to the Arsenal Soccer School in London.
LB Shastri victorious
Ravi Dixit took a matchwinning four-wicket haul (4/15) while Darshan Kajania (3/19) and Parves Chikara (3/20) took three wickets apiece as LB Shastri Club beat Hari Singh Academy by 8 wickets to take the title of the 2nd Shekhar Tyagi Prize money T20 cricket tournament at Bharat Nagar ground. LB Shastri took home the winners prize of Rs 51000.

Solanki smashes 182
Akshay Solanki hit 10 sixes and 17 fours in his massive 182 as Sonnet Club beat Bal Bharti by 169 runs to take four points in the 4th Peacock cricket tournament at Gargi college ground. Sagar Sehrawat (25) and Arjun Yadav (3/31) were the other contributors in the victory.

Easy win for GM Academy
Rahul Singh hit an unbeaten half century,while Kaushal Issar took a four-wicket haul (4/23) as GM Academy registered an easy five-wicket win over MRV Academy,Dwarka,to take four points in the Nirmal Premier League cricket tournament at Rajesh Sharma Sports Complex,Yamuna Nagar.

Hritik snares four
Man-of-the-match Hritik Kanojia snared four wickets (4/23) while Bhavneet Singh (3/7) was economical as Sonnet Club managed to get the better of West Delhi Academy by five wickets in the Bal Bhawan U-13 Premier League cricket tournament at Bal Bhawan School,Dwarka.

Yogesh impressive
Yogesh Sharma came through with a fine all round display (36 n.o and 4/20) while Sahil Sharma (3/27) and Ghanshyam (40) made usefull contributions enabling Baba Hari Das Academy beat GM Academy by 61 runs in the innaugural match of the 2nd Balaji U-16 cricket tournament at Balaji Ground at Bahadurgarh.

Rawal hits strokefilled century
Delhi U-19 player Vaibhav Rawal scored a fine 90-ball-127 while Manik Tandon scored 86 to guide RP Academy to a facile 7 wicket win over FCI in the DDCA League. The win gave RP Academy 4 points. Chetan Sharmas 101 went in vain for the FCI.
