A 17-year-old student of Jamia School was allegedly abducted,sedated,beaten up and later dumped near Holy Family Hospital,Southeast Delhi,on Saturday evening,police said.

New Delhi: A 17-year-old student of Jamia School was allegedly abducted,sedated,beaten up and later dumped near Holy Family Hospital,Southeast Delhi,on Saturday evening,police said. She was reportedly abducted while she was on her way to a nearby dispensary. We received a call that a girl was lying abandoned near the Holy Family Hospital. She had injuries on her body. Though she was admitted in the hospital,she is still unconscious as she has been sedated, said a senior police officer. Sexual assault has been ruled out.

Bomb hoax at Nirvachan Sadan

New Delhi: An anonymous caller warned the police of a bomb at the Election Commission office on Sunday. The call was declared a hoax after a thorough check. The call was received at 10 am and the caller said a bomb was placed at the Nirvachan Sadan,the EC headquarters,on Ashoka Road,a senior police officer said. All precautionary measures were taken after we received the call. The entire premises was checked but nothing was found, the officer said.

Executive found dead,suicide suspected

Gurgaon: The body of an executive working with American Express was found hanging from a ceiling fan at a house in Sushant Lok on Sunday. Police suspect Ajay Prakash (28) committed suicide. The Sushant Lok house belongs to Prakashs girlfriend. Investigating Officer Lal Singh said no suicide note was found. The deceased was a resident of Dwarka in Delhi. We suspect there were problems in the relationship,and this led to Prakash committing suicide, Singh said.
