Call centre employee found dead
A 24-year-old call centre employee was found dead in his room in Ambedkar Nagar. According to the police,the deceased,Aftab Ahmad,had hanged himself to death and his body was discovered by his family. No suicide note was found. The police said the family is being questioned even though the incident seemed like a clear case of suicide. Ahmad’s body has been sent to AIIMS for postmortem.

Betting racket busted,three held
Three men have been arrested on charges of placing bets on India and Pakistan match during the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy. According to the police,the accused,identified as Tarun Deep Bhatia (34),Vijay Kumar (36) and Vijay Kumar (41),were arrested from Shakarpur area. The police said that they had placed bets worth Rs 70 lakh. The police recovered 13 mobile phones,two Laptops,one LCD,four notebooks,one calculator,one multi-plug charger box and an extension cord from them.
