New Delhi: A 25-year-old folk singer died in an accident on Sunday when a water tanker rammed his car. The police said the car was being pushed by victim Rohit’s friends as it had run out of fuel. Rohit was steering the car. The incident took place near Archna Cinema on the BRT corridor around 4 am. The tanker driver reportedly did not see the car due to dense fog.

Youth held for stealing car after test drive

New Delhi: The 20-year-old son of a businessman was arrested on Saturday for allegedly stealing a luxury car. Ujjwal Sharma,a school dropout,was arrested from Netaji Subhash Place soon after he allegedly drove away a Honda Civic car,said Meenu Choudhury,Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest).

HC admits evidence against MLA

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has ordered the examination of documentary evidence against Congress MLA Kanwar Karan Singh in connection with a petition challenging his election in the 2008 Assembly polls. Defeated BJP candidate Bhola Nath Vij had filed the petition,alleging Singh had failed to clear dues,including property tax,and concealed these facts in his nomination paper. The court will begin recording evidence from January 17.
