Chennai power disruption: Thursday, October 31

Power will be suspended in parts of Chennai for maintenance work.

The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) has announced that power will be suspended in parts of Chennai on Thursday for carrying out day-long maintenance work in the city.

The city will face a power shutdown from 9 am to 4 pm, with supply expected to resume before 4 pm if the work is completed.

As per a press release given by the company, the following neighbourhoods in Chennai will be affected:

Mannady: mannady Street, Armenian Street, Kachaleeswarar Agraharam, Post Office, Muthumar Chetty, Vekatamaistry Street, Iyappa Chetty Street, Sembu Doss Street, Sowri Muthu Street, New Street, Nainiappa Street, Thambu Chetty Street, Jaffer Sarang Street, Angappan Street, Naicken Street, Adam Street, Parts of Rajaji Street, Gopal Chetty Street, Beach – 3rd, 4th Lanes; Linghi Chetty Street, Malayaperumal Street, Coral Merchant Street, Salai Vinayagar Street, Siva Muthiah Street, Broadway, Ibrahim Street, Audiapatham Street, Moore Street and Krishna Koil Street.

Palavakkam: Kazura Garden – 1st, 2nd Streets; Sundeep Road – 1st, 2nd Streets; Chinna Neelankarai Kuppam, Singaravelar Salai – 1st, 2nd Main Roads; Ranga Reddy Garden, Mettu Colony, Ranjith Nagar, Philips Salai, Suithan Ahameed Street, Abee Ba Street and M G R Road.
