While giving tips on a happy married life,Perfect Bride’s Pooja Tandon blurts out the truth about the show & its ‘bully’ contestants
Had it not been for Hitesh and Hitesh’s mom, things would’ve been on a high note. “Unfortunately, the makers could not see this in time and are now caught in their crossfire,” Star Plus’s Perfect Bride contestant and city’s Pooja Tandon is back from the show, and now that she’s out,the bride-in-making is not mincing her words. “No doubt the show was a school of learning; I’ve perfected the art of how to get married and settle down,” coos the actress who found everything perfect till Hitesh Chauhan and his mother,Sudesh Rani Chauhan made a mess of it. “I went for the show because the concept appealed to me. Marriage was secondary, being the perfect bride was primary. We weren’t required to get married in the end…the decision was entirely up to the girl! It was a platform to prove myself and show the world that one can be a dream bahu, but in steps the saas and her son who spin their politics and drama and start calling the shots,” Pooja releases all the pent up anger and blurts the ‘truth’ out. “Yash and Vivek and their mothers were reduced to victims by the Chauhans…Vivek even confided about Hitesh abusing him, physically and verbally,” prattles Pooja, wishing that the makers of the show had not selected the Chauhans in the first place. “I really wish they had gone through the selection process more rigorously.” Interestingly, till the end all the judges – Malaika,Shekhar and Amrita Rao felt that Pooja was the Perfect Bride! Now that’s called confidence! Still, has the show changed her views on marriage? “Not at all,I want to get married and that too in a joint family, but it’s going to be my acting career right now,” she plays it well. If that’s the case, then any tips for all the dulhanzillas out there? “Patience, adjustment, maturity, understanding and intelligence. Being clever, shrewd or an opportunist will get you nowhere.” Point taken.
