Television actor and host Shruti Seth has hit the jackpot. She’s been signed on by ace director Prakash Jha in his forthcoming project Rajneeti for a sizeable role. What has her excited is the fact that she essays a character with grey shades. “I play a party worker desperate to get a ticket and who is willing to compromise on her morals to make that happen,” she shares. The petite actor will go de-glam for the role and trade her cute dresses from Sony’s Comedy Circus for crisp cotton saris. What we like about her is that the young girl isn’t willing to abandon the television medium now that she has bagged a good role in a big film. Shruti says that she’d rather be the queen of small screen and doing a variety of things than limit herself to movies. Smart girl.

Discreet Mugdha
Even as a slew of A-list celebrities stars in Karan Johar’s ad film that urges people to vote,sexy Mugdha Godse has already gone ahead and cast her vote. The Pune babe was shooting for Madhur Bhandarkar’s Jail in Karjat last week when the polls were conducted in her hometown. The actor requested her director to spare her for half a day so that she could fulfil her responsibilities towards her country. It’s good to see actors who talk less and do more.

Amitabh Bachchan is getting younger. After having sung for a television commercial,Big B has now turned stylist with Sujoy Ghosh’s Aladin. While planning a photo-shoot for a special number in the film,he suggested to the director that he’d like to do his own styling for the song. Excited about the track,which is to be picturised on Riteish Deshmukh and him,he decided to choose his own outfit and hairdo. Of course,the director agreed — who says no to Bollywood’s badshah? He chose a deep red velvet jacket which added that extra touch of grandeur to his already larger-than-life persona in the film.
