‘‘UT creating hurdles in tenement allotment”

Congress councillor Mukesh Bassi on Friday alleged that the UT Administration was creating hurdles in allotment of one-room tenements in Dhanas which he claimed was the dream project of local MP Pawan Kumar Bansal. He criticised the move of the Administration to ask the beneficiaries to clear the pending electricity bills before the allotment could be made.

Bassi alleged that the UT officials took decision while sitting in their rooms without knowing the ground reality and facts that after putting so much of effort,not only in city but at the central level as well,Pawan Kumar Bansal brought slum rehabilitation scheme to the city for the benefits of slum dwellers.

Bassi said that instead of demanding pending dues just few days before the allotment of flats,the UT Administration should have given some time to the colony residents to clear their pending dues.
