GIVEN the overwhelming response to their Zinger burger,KFC has now introduced a vegetarian version on its menu. “Almost a third of India’s population eating out is vegetarian and there is often a conflict in choosing the right restaurant when people with different preferences go out in groups,” says Unnat Varma,director marketing,Yum! Restaurants India. KFC’s Veg Zinger is completely vegetarian and has a crunchy patty made with potatoes,cottage cheese,carrot,green peas,fresh corn,jalapenos,topped with fresh iceberg lettuce put together in a soft sesame bun.

Local lad Roerich Kaushal has become one of the top 25 Global Vodafone Way Heroes for 2009-10 with the honour being conferred on him at a glittering ceremony at the Vodafone headquarters in London recently. Kaushal is currently working as a marketing manager with Vodafone’s Mumbai branch. An alumnus of Vivek High School,Sector 38,Roerich went to St Stephens College,New Delhi before joining Mudra Institute of Communications,Ahmedabad (MICA). The award winners later visited the McLaren headquarters where they saw the workings of the Vodafone McLaren Formula One team.
