NSUI holds function to celebrate win in polls
Chandigarh:A function for celebrating the performance of NSUI in the recent student council elections in Panjab University was organised at the Congress Bhawan in Sector 35. The party leaders attributed the improvement in the partys performance to the prompt work of the partys members and policies of the UPA government in bringing about progress in the university. Also,the students were promised that the facilities in the various colleges would be improved and that next year,the party would definitely emerge victorious.
Truck driver run over by truck,dies
Ambala:A truck driver who had come to fill up his tanker at the Indian Oil Depot at Ambala,was run over by a truck while crossing the NH1. The deceased,identified as Hari Mohan,died on the spot. His dead body was sent to the Civil Hospital for a postmortem report.
Man dies mysteriously
Ambala:A youth identified as Lakhwinder died under mysterious circumstances. He was coming to Ambala on the bike of a friend. On the way,he felt thirsty and asked the biker to stop his vehicle. He went to the fields of a village,Sular,to quench his thirst. On his return,the friend found Lakhwinder speechless and looking unwell and rushed him to the Trauma Centre in Ambala where he died during treatment. Doctors are investigating into the cause of his death.
