Tandon invites Modi to Chandigarh

The BJP city unit president,Sanjay Tandon on Sunday handed over a letter signed by 1,100 students to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi,inviting him to Chandigarh. Modi is expected to visit the city in November or December.

Tandon was in Delhi to attend a meeting of presidents of all the state units. The meeting was presided over by senior members of the party. Tandon said the meeting was to discuss the party’s strategy for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections,adding that Modi had assured to visit the city by the end of the year.

In order to strengthen the party and mobilise workers,meetings would be held at different levels,Tandon said.
