Kulraj Randhawa on working with all the three generations of Deols

It is not everyday that you get to work with the Deols, that too all the three generations. Actor Kulraj Randhawa, too, regards it as the biggest milestone of her acting career. “I was fortunate enough to get an offer for Yamla Pagla Deewana and grabbed it,before director Sameer Karnick could say anything,” she says, taking a break from the shooting for a quick tete-e-tete at the Taj Chandigarh.

“Yamla Pagla Deewana is a comic family entertainer starring Sunny and Bobby Deol, along with Dharamendra. Sunny plays a handsome Sardar, while I play an independent photographer who is Bobby’s love interest,” says Randhawa. “He is a great guy to be with,in fact all of them are,and I got to learn a lot from them. It is a film that will stay with me forever.”

To lend an air of authenticity to her character,Randhawa,an amateur photographer herself, took lessons from her photographer friends. “I love capturing nature and people through the lens,” she says.

Randhawa’s acting career took off with a TV series called Kareena, following which she starred in movies like Mannat and Chintuji. “Chintuji was a great film but was not promoted properly. Till a film reaches its target audience,it doesn’t amount to much. It has to click with the people, only then will our work be appreciated,” she adds.
