The Municipal Corporation has issued an advisory about the precautions to be followed to prevent water borne diseases. The civic body has appealed to the residents not to consume cut or exposed fruits and vegetables and not drink water from shallow hand pumps.

The teams from office of Medical Officer of Health have till August destroyed 23000 kg ice,more than 7,700 bunta bottles,16,000 kg cut fruits and vegetables as well as 1591 kg fish,meat and poultry products. The civic body has also appealed to the residents to follow hygienic habits and keeping their surrounding clean.
