A three-wicket haul by Jaideep Malik propelled Cricket Academy,Sector 16 to a seven-wicket win over DAV School Cricket Academy,Sector 8 to move into the final of the St Stephen’s Trophy being organised DP Azad Cricket Academy.
Cricket Academy,Sector 16 won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first,Cricket Academy,Sector 16 posted a total of 143 runs in 28 overs. Saurabh was the highest scorer for the team as he played a knock of 34 runs. Playing aggressively,Saurabh smashed five boundaries and one towrering six during his brief knock while Kulwinder smashed 33 runs. For DAV Cricket Academy,Sector 8,Jaideep Malik claimed three wickets for 21 runs while Aditya Shukla claimed three wickets for 26 runs.
Chasing a target of 144 runs,DAV Coaching Academy,Sector 8 reached the target for the loss of three wickets in 21 overs. Arvind and Aditya Shukla were the main scorers for the winning team as they contributed 39 runs each. Sagar Babbar contributed 23 runs. For the losing side,Kuljinder claimed two wickets for 28 runs.

Satluj Public School,Sector 4 will organise Sixth Hot Weather Cup U-15 Cricket Tournament from May 8 at the school’s premises. The last date for entry into the tournament in May 5 and players born on or after September 1,1995 are eligible to take part in the tournament. Only six teams can participate in the super-league tournament and players can contact Sarpreet gill,cricket coach on 9878665646.
