Dev Samaj eves register win
Dolly bowled brilliantly to snare three wickets and enabled IS Dev Samaj School,Sector 21 to score an eight-wicket win over Coaching Club,Sector 56,Chandigarh,in the Chandigarh Junior State Cricket Women Tournament (U-10) for Pt. Kedarnath Trophy on Friday. Batting first,Coaching Club,Sector 56 posted 85 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. In reply,IS Dev Samaj School reached the target for the loss of two wickets in 19.4 overs.
Cricket tourney from December 4
Desh Prem Azad Cricket Academy is organising the Leslie Gordon Carver Inter-Academy U-17 Cricket Tournament from December 4. This tournament to be played according to ODI rules,will be played on league-cum-knockout basis. Eight teams,to be divided into two pools,will take part in the tournament. Players born or after September 1993 are eligible to take part in the tournament and the last date for entries is November 28. Players and interested teams can contact Arun Rai at 9888233943 for further information. The teams have to submit a list of 15 players along with their date of birth certificates.
Weight-lifting meet from Nov 22
The 54th Inter-Services Weight-lifting Championship will be held at 3 Base Repair Depot,Air Force,Chandigarh from November 22 to 25. Four teams namely Army Red,Army Green,Indian Navy and Indian Air Force will be taking part in the championship. The competition will be held in seven categories.
