Psychic healer Swati Prakash will take viewers into the realm of the paranormal in The Chair
What spiritual healer and psychic Swati Prakash is about to do has never been attempted before. At least not on prime time TV. We will be connecting with spirits at a haunted location on real time, with real people and places, she says gleefully. Prakash will anchor UTV Bindass’ horror reality show,The Chair.
A first-of-its kind reality show,it will have 13 people scouting haunted places in the country to connect with the dead. And for Prakash, there is nothing more challenging than entering another world and decoding its mysteries.
In town to talk about the show,Prakash says she will induce participants to shift from the conscious state to the subconscious. They will move from the normal to the paranormal with the chair acting as a passage between the real world and the realm beyond, says Prakash, who is also the founder of Tarot India Network,CEO of Mumbai-based Magick Stores,High Priestess at the Earth Healing Temple, and Head of the Global Wicca Tradition.
Swati believes that each one of us has a spirit inside us. You can get in touch with it through meditation, you can talk to it and heal yourself by understanding the subconscious patterns. Many a times, when people die, they are clueless about the afterlife. As a result, souls wander aimlessly, unable to cross over or are trapped on earth because of their karma. We healers help them cross, says Prakash, who has also helped to identify haunted places for the show.
Having got in touch with her own psychic powers at the age of 10,she is often asked about the clash with the scientific world. The human body works on three levels the phsyical, the mental and the spiritual. I work on the spiritual, and leave the rest to the medical world, she answers.
Watch The Chair at 7pm every Sunday.
