Tarn Taran Deputy Commissioner Khushi Ram and Senior Superintendent of Police P S Wirk honoured 400x4 relay race gold medallist in the Commonwealth Games,Mandeep Cheema,on Sunday. The officials visited her residence and gave her mementos in the presence of a large number of local residents. Mandeep arrived here from Delhi on Saturday. She thanked her parents for encouraging her to take up sports,which enabled her to bring laurels for the country. She also thanked her coach,Baljinder Singh,for meticulous training and encouragement.
