Says Sameer Rao,General Manager,Star India,“Through Vroom,Adventures of Smarty,the magical car,we have tried to bring back the concept of kids and parents going together to theatres to watch movies.” Vroom,Adventures of Smarty,the Magical Car is the story of Smarty,a naughty car with a mind of its own. The story goes that a scientist,Dr Ramanujam,is working on a secret Artificial Intelligence chip which an evil goon,Mr X wishes to acquire. He sends his henchmen to steal the chip,but Dr Ramanujam manages to escape with it and puts it in a car. It is this car that then gets a mind of its own and starts playing tricks on his new owner and the people around him. What follows is a series of fun-filled events that make Smarty the star attraction. Keeping the humour quotient high comedian Naveen Prabhakar playing the comic goon Girgit.

LOVED by the audience and critics for his first movie AAMIR,Rajkumar Gupta had the students at Dikshant Global School,Panchkula totally absorbed. Here in Chandigarh for the shooting of his upcoming film,No One Killed Jessica,starring Rani Mukherjee and Vidya Balan,Rajkumar interacted with students of Dikshant and talked about filmmaking and script writing. “You must work hard and be focused on whatever you are doing,and after you complete your studies,decide what you want to do in life,make the most of the great facilities the school is providing,’’ said Gupta,answering the questions of students.

Now,teachers empowered with hi-tech smart class room teaching methods

At a three-day training session organised for the staff members of KB DAV Senior Secondary Public School from May 1 to 3,the teachers were familiarised with Smart Interactive White Boards and Software used to support regular textbook teaching within the classrooms for an enriched teaching-learning process. The enthusiastic 90-staff members from respective faculties of science,maths,English,social studies,Hindi,computer science took the training with great zest,with an aim to enrich and enhance learning through a spectrum of high-quality technology and succeed in 21st century by providing equal opportunity and access. The training was a blend of conventional teaching using standard textbooks with interactive white boards and software for topics to be taught within the classrooms.
