Later, fire tenders took an hour to douse the flames. The exact reason of the fire could not be ascertained.

The three were rushed to the Government Multi-Specialty Hospital in Sector 16 from where Saroj and Deepak were referred to the PGI after their condition deteriorated.

Sub-Inspector Maninder Singh,in-charge of Sector-24 police post, said the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) team visited the area and has collected samples. “We are examining if there was any foul play in the incident. The victims are not in a position to make statements. We are waiting for the CFSL report to take further action,” he added.
