Entry-level admission process to begin next week

All schools have been directed to upload their admission forms and other details on their respective websites by Nov 25.

With entry-level admissions just a week away,the city private schools have started finalising the admission criteria. The information regarding the same is being uploaded on the websites,as has been directed by the UT Education department.

All the schools have been directed to upload their admission forms and other details on their respective websites by November 25. Some of the schools,including Vivek High School and Saupins School,New Public School and Ryan International School have already added an option of online registration on their websites. Also,Vivek High School has already started distributing admission forms from November 18.

All the schools except the four missionary schools will be following the draw-of-lot system after allotting seats to the students on the basis of point system. The four missionary schools – St.Johns School,Sector 26,Carmel Convent School,Sector 9,St. Annes Convent School,Sector 32 and Sacred Heart School,Sector 26 – are yet to finalise their admission dates after holding their management committee meeting.

At Saupins and Vivek High School,there will be preference for children residing in the adjacent sectors of the school.

While some schools have already uploaded the admission details and procedure,most of the schools are yet to display the details regarding the number of seats available under the general category,age criteria,fee-structure and the point system they will be following.

The parents can collect the admission forms from the respective school from November 25 onwards,or can also download the registration forms. The last date for the submission of the forms will be December 10.
