Hike in allowances of councillors will cost MC Rs 15 lakh extra

chandigarh: The Municipal Corporation will have to bear an additional burden of around Rs 15 lakh in case allowances of the councillors are raised. According to the recent proposal,if accepted,the allowance for councillors will be hiked to Rs 7,000 and that of the Mayor to 15,000.
