CBI gets three-day custody of FCI official in graft case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has received three-day custody of FCI official Devinder Kumar,the prime accused in an Rs 80,000 bribery case.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has received three-day custody of FCI official Devinder Kumar,the prime accused in an Rs 80,000 bribery case. His alleged accomplice,Rameshwar,was sent to judicial custody by a Patiala court.

market.

At the time of the arrest,the CBI found that Rameshwar,an employee working for one of the state procurement agencies associated with FCI,was Devender’s accomplice.

While conducting a search at the FCI official’s residence,the CBI said it had found Rs 20 lakh in a wooden box on top of which a sewing machine had been placed. The investigating agency is probing if other FCI employees had any role in the case.
