The Agartala Press Club Friday organised a candlelight protest demanding the immediate release of the investigation report on the murder of Santanu and Sudip Dutta Bhowmik who were killed on the line of duty in 2017.
“Those involved in scams and corruption are being called by CBI and ED for questioning. Left leaders are not being called as they are not involved in any such scams,” senior CPI(M) leader Biman Bose said.
The agency has also called Mathew Samuels, the editor of Narada news, who had provided the recordings purportedly showing alleged payments received by politicians and senior bureaucrats of West Bengal Government.
The regulatory body, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), has a “zero tolerance” policy towards corruption and is “committed to act stringently” against such acts, the Ministry said.
