Dronacharya awardee Desh Prem Azad has been invited to attend the silver jubilee function to mark former India medium pacer Chetan Sharmas first hat-trick in the World Cup. It maybe recalled that Sharma had cleaned bowled Ken Rutherford,Ian Smith and Ewen Chatfield with the last three balls of the 42nd over to register first hat-trick in a 1987 World Cup match against New Zealand in Nagpur. He will be honoured by the Indian Sports Star Foundation and Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) vice patron Rakesh Bhadur Mathur. Indian bowling great Kapil Dev has been invited as the guest of honour. Azad will be attending the function in capacity of being coach of both Dev and Sharma. The function will be held on October 31 at New Delhi.
