40-year-old ends life

A 40-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan at his residence in Sector 16 on Monday morning. According to police,the man has been identified as Manoj Tiwari,who was working as a watchman at the Haryana State Council for Child Welfare and Development. “We received a PCR call around 7.30 am and we took Tiwari to GMSH-16 where he was declared dead on arrival. The post-mortem report confirmed that Tiwari died due to hanging and there was no foul play involved,” a senior officer said. However,no suicide note was recovered from the spot,so the exact reason why Tiwari committed suicide was not known,the officer said,adding that Tiwari was an alcoholic and was living with his wife and two kids.
