MoS Sports, Youth Services, Cultural Activities and Home Harsh Sanghavi Vadodara will host a symposium to brainstorm for “future developments” on May 1, the Foundation Day of Gujarat, organised by Balu Shukla, the BJP chief whip in the Gujarat Assembly and the Raopura MLA.
The day-long symposium will see four plenary discussions on issues related to Vadodara, attended by experts. Issues like Vishwamitri River Rejuvenation, ease of doing business, tourism and infrastructure in Vadodara would be discussed.
To be inaugurated by MoS Sports, Youth Services, Cultural Activities and Home Harsh Sanghavi, along with Maharaja Sayajirao University Chancellor Shubhanginiraje Gaekwad, the event will see Vadodara District Collector A B Gor, Municipal Commissioner Dilip Rana, Police Commissioner Shamsher Singh as well as state Secretary (Tourism) Hareet Shukla join the panel discussions.
Shukla told The Indian Express, “This is an effort for reimaging the city. The symposium will see industrialists, architects, engineers, administrative officers, environmentalists and experts coming together to exchange ideas and build an on-ground plan for Vadodara. The government has supported this idea of wholesome development of Vadodara by leveraging its unique cultural and geographic advantage.”
