Paresh Dhanani was cross-examined by Assistant Solicitor General Devang Vyas in the ongoing hearing of the election petition. His statement was in sharp contradiction to the version put forth by Congress leader Arjun Modhwadia last week.
These include former Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Water Resources, Parbat Patel from the Banaskantha constituency, Bharatsinh Dabhi from Patan, Hasmukh Patel from Ahmedabad (East), and Ratansinh Rathod from Panchmahals.
Alpesh, who had quit the party on April 10, just in the middle of the Lok Sabha elections, had campaigned for an Independent candidate in Banaskantha, Swarupji Thakor, where the Congress had also fielded its nominee.
Through the booklet, the Congress has hit out at the BJP government, accusing it of doing injustice to people in areas like education, health, employment, agriculture, child welfare, among others in the four years since Narendra Modi became the prime minister.
