Cong demands arrest of BJP leader over communal riots

The party has also sought for the duo’s immediate arrest in connection to a rioting that broke out during Janmashtami celebrations in the area in August. “We have given the city police chief the copy of the FIR of the case in which the duo has been named as accused. Jain and Shah,however,have not been arrested yet because of their political connections,” said ACC president Pankaj Shah.

The letter further requests the police to immediately stop the practice of arresting innocent persons in connection to these communal clashes,which are instigated by the people having political affiliations.
