BJP to declare candidates after Diwali

BJP will announce names of its candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections after Diwali,a party leader said.

BJP will announce names of its candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections after Diwali,a party leader said. This was decided in the Gujarat BJP Parliamentary Board meeting that began at Adalaj on the city outskirts today.

The Board will finalise the names of candidates in the next five days and they will be declared after Diwali, state BJP spokesperson I K Jadeja said.

Chief Minister Narendra Modi and other state leaders attended the meeting presided over by state BJP president R C Faldu.

Our state parliamentary board today met to analyse the reports of the observers who had gone to different districts to listen to contenders who wish to fight the elections, another party spokesperson Jagdish Bhavsar said.

Sources said there were,on an average,more than a dozen contenders for one ticket.
