Mrunal Thakur: From Television to Telugu Triumph Mrunal Udaysing Thakur, born August 1, 1992, has steadily built a notable presence in both Hindi and Telugu cinema. Her career began with television roles in Mujhse Kuchh Kehti...Yeh Khamoshiyaan (2012) and Kumkum Bhagya (2014-2016), the latter earning her an ITA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. Her Hindi film debut, Love Sonia (2018), marked an entry into Bollywood, followed by prominent roles in the commercially successful Super 30 and Batla House (both 2019). While facing a period of relative quiet, Thakur’s resurgence came with Telugu cinema. Her performances in the romantic dramas Sita Ramam (2022) and Hi Nanna (2023) have been critically acclaimed, culminating in a Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Telugu for Sita Ramam.
