His career, launched with Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities (2004), gained significant momentum with the critically acclaimed Rang De Basanti (2006). Subsequent roles in films like Bachna Ae Haseeno, Welcome to Sajjanpur, Don 2, Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana, Dear Zindagi, Veeram, Gold, and Devdas showcased his versatility. After a period of relative quiet, Kapoor's portrayal of Babur in the 2021 series The Empire garnered significant praise. His upcoming projects highlight his ambitious trajectory: the epic Ramayan alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi; a Sidharth Anand Netflix film, Jewel Thief, with Saif Ali Khan; and a yet-to-be-titled Aamir Khan Productions film slated for 2025.
