Photo: Akshay Kumar wraps up another fantastic schedule of Gold in Patiala

Akshay Kumar's Gold is making all kinds of news since its announcement. Sharing a shoot picture from Patiala this time, Akshay took to Instagram and talked about the fantastic schedule of the upcoming film. The film is slated to release on August 15 2018.

Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Gold also starring Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor and Amit Sadh is already on floors. Sharing a shoot picture from Patiala this time, Akshay took to Instagram and wrote, “Another fantastic schedule of #Gold comes to an end, this time in Patiala! So much love and warmth literally till the point of taking off…nothing but grateful 🙏🏻‬.”

In the picture, Akshay Kumar can be seen greeting his fans from his aircraft all set to take off from the city. Only recently, Akshay Kumar’s look in Gold was released by the actor on his social media accounts. He revealed the poster with the following caption, “Through every passing year, I understood life a bit better. Through every film of mine, I learned something new. They say every cloud has a silver lining, but the way I got love from my well wishers, my dreams met their destination and my clouds got a lining of Gold. As my age #TurnsGold, here’s presenting the poster of Gold, a film extremely close to my heart.”

The film is slated to release on August 15 2018. The project is bankrolled by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar and is based on celebrated hockey player Balbir Singh, who led India to victory in three consecutive Olympics in 1948, 1952 and 1956. This movie is helmed by Reema Kagti and is set in 1948.

And according to latest reports, not only Mouni Roy but TV actor Nikita Dutta will also make her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar’s Gold. Nikita, last seen in the show Ek Duje Ke Vaaste on Sony, will reportedly star opposite Vicky Kaushal’s younger brother Sunny in the much-awaited biopic.
