New Delhi, Feb 17 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Wednesday said the present bail hearing of JNU students' union president Kanhaiya Kumar should be adjourned under the present circumstances and formed a panel of five senior lawyers to find out the present situation in the Patiala House Court. Senior advocate Prashant Bhushan said despite the SC order, they received information at around 2'o clock that some lawyers had indulged in beating up some lawyers, some journalists.

New Delhi, Feb 15 (ANI): Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi on Monday said they have evidence that clearly shows that Kanhaiya was raising anti-national slogans and delivering speech. He added that they are gathering information about other members and once they will be identified, they will be arrested soon. He further said that they have already taken Kanhaiya’s verdict and is still analysing the matter.

Gaya, Jan 16 (ANI): The Police arrested a Maoist commander and also recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition during a combing operation in Gaya, Bihar. Police had received information about the Maoist’s movement on January 13. Acting on the tip-off, police and officials of paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conducted a combing operation in Gaya district. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Gaya, Garima Malik said they recovered AK-56 rifle, 102 live cartridges and other items from the commander. However, the Maoists claim to be fighting for the rights of peasants and landless labourers as they routinely call strikes, attack government property and target politicians and police.

Shimla, Jan 08 (ANI): At least six shops were gutted when a massive fire broke out in the market area in Shimla with good worth in millions of rupees lost as well. The fire was reported at around 3.30 a.m. in the morning. Three fire tenders rushed to the spot to control the flames. The police also reached the spot as soon as they received the information. One person was injured in the fire but no loss of life has been reported so far.
