IFFI

The International Film Festival of India or IFFI started in 1952 and over the decades has become one of the most esteemed film festivals in Asia. The annual film fiesta is held in the Indian state of Goa. It aims at celebrating cinema and providing a common platform to filmmakers to present their work towards understanding and appreciation of art across the world. It also helps in encouraging cultural exchange between various nations through the medium of films. IFFI is jointly held by India's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Directorate of Film Festivals and the Government of Goa. The 48th edition of IFFI is being held in Panjim from November 20-28, 2017. The cinema carnival was inaugurated by Shah Rukh Khan and will be closed by Salman Khan.
