New Delhi, Feb 11 (ANI): Tributes poured in from across the country for the Siachen braveheart Lance Naik Hanamanthappa. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and three service chiefs paid their last respect to the Lance Naik at Brar Square in New Delhi on Thursday. Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia were also among others who paid their last respects to the Lance Naik. Hanamanthappa, who was miraculously found alive after remaining buried under huge mass of snow for six days at the Siachen Glacier, passed away at Army's Research and Referral Hospital at 11.45 a.m. today.

New Delhi, Jan 14 (ANI): After the demise of Lieutenant General (Retired) Jack Farj Rafael Jacob, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said that he had very different and friendly relations with him. Appreciating Lt. Gen. Jacob he said that he was a straight forward man and his contributions played a very vital role in the development of the country. He further asserted that he developed good relations with him when he was governor of Goa. Lt. Gen. Jacob, 92, passed away on Wednesday morning following a 13-days illness. He played the key role in India's victory in the India-Pakistan war of 1971.

New Delhi, Jan 11 (ANI): Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday reiterated that incidents such as the Pathankot terror attack would continue to take place till the time the terror groups and attackers are not made to feel the pain which they inflict on others. The Defence Minister, however, dodged the question on whether he thinks Pakistan would act upon the leads provided to them in wake of the Pathankot terror attack. Parrikar earlier said that he was deeply pained when a soldier lost his life.
