The fire was reported by Western Railway at 5.26 pm, which is the peak travelling hour for many commuters.
Local services to be halted from Mumbai Central to Churchgate

The train departing from Virar at 11.30 pm will end at Mumbai Central and will be reversed as Borivali 91297 from there. The train departing from Borivali at 12.18 am and 12.30 am will also run up to Mumbai Central only.
Mumbai: Virar-Churchgate AC local fares increased

On Thursday, the WR announced a hike in fares of AC local services. According to the WR, weekly pass travellers will incur a fare hike of Rs 25 to Rs 80, fortnight pass holders will get a hike of Rs 35 to Rs 125 and monthly pass holders will have to pay Rs 50 to Rs 165 more.
