Ashok Nete biography

Ashok Nete is a political leader from Maharastra and a member of the Bhartiya Janata Party. He is the incumbent Member of the Parliament from Maharastra’s Gadchiroli–Chimur Lok Sabha constituency. He was born on July 1, 1968, in Baradpaoni, Nagpur district, Maharashtra.

He started his political career in 1991 as a member of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. He held several positions in the BJP before finally securing a seat in the Maharashtra State Assembly in 1999. He went on to serve continuous terms after winning the 2004 state assembly election.

In 2009, he tried his hand at national-level politics in an unsuccessful attempt at the Lok Sabha elections before finally securing back-to-back wins in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Gadchiroli–Chimur constituency on BJP’s ticket.
