Abu Taher Khan

Born in 1964 in Murshidabad district, Khan's life revolved around agriculture and social service. He actively participated in student politics, eventually leading the state president of the Kerala Students Union. This passion for public service fueled his decision to contest the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Murshidabad, a key AITC stronghold, and also retained the same in 2024.

His victory catapulted him onto the national stage, making him the youngest MP from West Bengal at the time.
