Sonu Nigam launches first transgender '6 Pack Band' in Mumbai

New Delhi, Jan 7 (ANI): Singer Sonu Nigam truly believes that if you wish for something whole-heartedly then the entire universe will make it happen for you, as his long time wish of doing something for the third gender has come true.Recently, he lent his support to India's first transgender band called '6 Pack Band' and has launched a music album in the show-biz capital Mumbai.The singer, who is overwhelmed with the entire experience, believes that the support to the band is not a social service but a game changer. Sonu Nigam will feature in the second song "Rab De Bande" from the album and said that he is eager to work in the other songs from the album.The album comprises of six songs sung by the transgenders which also includes a cover version of Grammy-winner Pharrell Williams' hit 'Happy'.Talking about the song, 'Fida', one of the singers and member of the band, expressed her gratitude towards life.The youth wing of Yash Raj Films - YFilms led by Ashish Patil is the brain behind the formation of this band, who wishes to make this video viral and just not limit the initiative to India.With initiatives like these from the entertainment industry, one can say that a step towards bright future of transgenders has already been taken.
