However, Radhika Apte was missing from the launch event whose sex scene with Adil Hussain from the movie went viral on social media platforms. The movie highlights the way society sees a widow and a sex-worker, and also touches upon marital rape. Ajay Devgn, who has recently released the trailer of his production venture Parched, feels this women-oriented movie is actually for men to learn what women are and how to behave with them. “This movie is not for the women as they have nothing as such to learn from this film. It shows how the women are treated. So from this movie, men need to learn how a woman should be treated,” he said yesterday at the trailer launch event in Mumbai. (Source: Photo by Varinder Chawla)

Ajay Devgn said it is sad they couldn't start the film's journey by first releasing it in India but hopes it gets the same reception here a it got in the West. "It is very sad, because though the issue is universal, the film is of our country. It is very sad that instead of starting with India, we had to start from abroad, because there is audience there which accepts such films. From there, the film has travelled and reached here. We hope the film is accepted here too. The myth that only typical commercial films work, that needs to be broken by the audience," he said. (Source: Photo by Varinder Chawla)
Director Leena Yadav has opened about leaked intimate scenes between Radhika Apte and Adil Hussain in her forthcoming movie. "People have a tendency to sensationalise things... I think it should be stopped now. By exaggerating it, we are giving much importance to these things. I didn't say anything so far as it would be against the film that I've made," said Yadav at the trailer launch of the film. If some people are excited about leaking a sex scene from the film, that is absolutely against what I have made. I think we should ignore," she said. (Source: Photo by Varinder Chawla)
Ajay Devgn says he had no issues with the censor board regarding his upcoming production "Parched", and he is fine with its 'A' certificate. At the trailer launch of the movie, Ajay said even the CBFC follows certain guidelines, which need to be respected by filmmakers. "When such films are made, you have to be prepared. We have our own limitations, but we try to show as much reality as we can. At many places, they (CBFC) are also right, that after a limit you can't show something. "But the makers' morale should also be that they don't show more than the limit, which Leena has done. We had no issues with film, with regards to any cuts. The film deserved 'A' (certificate) and we got that," he said. (Source: Photo by Varinder Chawla)
A few scenes of the film, involving an intimate sequence featuring Apte and actor Adil Hussain were leaked online, almost a month before its India release on September 23. Ajay said piracy affects the makers badly, even though it my be easy for the audience to download and watch a film. "It (piracy) is a big problem, because if this goes on, films will stop getting made due to heavy losses. I met one of the producers whose film had leaked recently, he had tears in his eyes. He said 'main barbad ho gaya hu' ('I'm ruined'). There are many people who keep everything at stake and make movies, and then when something like this happens... For people, it is easy to download and watch. But what about those who are getting ruined," Devgn said. (Source: Photo by Varinder Chawla)
