Gujarat assembly elections 2017 Live updates: The BJP national president will also address a press conference in Rajkot district of Gujarat on Tuesday.

BJP national president Amit Shah on Tuesday will kickstart the party’s a door-to-door campaign in Naranpura district of Ahmedabad city in Gujarat for around two hours. The campaign is part of BJP’s “Gujarat Gaurav Mahasampark Abhiyaan”. Shah will later address a press conference at Hemu Gadhvi Hall in Tagore Park, Rajkot at around 2 pm. Shah, who was elected as Rajya Sabha member in August this year, served as MLA from Naranpura district before getting elected as MP.

It will mark his first public meeting programme during his five-day visit to the state, which began on Saturday from Gandhidham in Kutch.

Gujarat will go to polls on December 9 and December 14. The result will be declared on December 18.

2:20 pm: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani questioned Manmohan Singh whether he would apologise for “policy paralysis, development stagnation and rampant corruption” during UPA rule. In a series of tweets, Rupani asked, “For 10 years, UPA used the full might of the state machinery & subjected then CM Modi ji to witch hunt. Why?” Rupani’s remarks came on the day the former prime minister slammed Modi government for demonetisation and described November 8 as “black day”.

12:45 am: Meanwhile, former prime minister Manmohan Singh is addressing a small businessman in Gujarat. In his address, Singh slammed the centre for demonetisation move, and termed November 8 as a “black day”.

11:30 am:  Massive crowd gathered in Naranpura where BJP national president Amit Shah kickstarted party’s door-to-door campaign.

10:25 am: BJP national president Amit Shah on Tuesday distributed BJP pamphlets in Naranpura constituency of Ahmedabad.

10:15 am: Meanwhile, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, along with Deputy chief minister Nitin Patel, Gujarat BJP president Jitu Vaghani and former chief minister Anandiben Patel, will also launch the campaign from their constituencies in Rajkot, Mehsana, Bhavnagar and Ghatlodia in Ahmedabad, respectively.

9:30 am: Before embarking on the Mahasampark Abhiyaan, BJP leader Amit Shah will visit Goddess Ambaji temple in Naranpura district. People are currently waiting for Shah outside the temple.

9:25 am: Meanwhile, heavy security has been laid out out in Naranpura area, as the district is getting ready for BJP’s Gujarat Gaurav Mahasamparak Abhiyaan.

9:00 am: Amit Shah will address a press conference at 2 pm in Rajkot district today.

8:45 am: BJP national president Amit Shah will embark on a door-to-door campaign in Naranpura district of Gujarat on Tuesday from 9 am onwards, as part of ‘Gujarat gaurav Mahasampark abhiyaan’. The campaign will be carried out between 9 am and 11 am during which the BJP leader will pass through several areas including Ambaji Mandir, Laxmi Krupa, Paras Nagar, Surya Apartment.

Sharing her motivation behind the move, Divya wrote that meditation had completely transformed her outlook on life. “It helped me see myself and manifest the life of my dreams. I thought, what if I could teach others to do it too? So here I am to become a certified meditation coach,” she wrote in her video.
